Shakib Al Hasan, the Bangladesh allrounder, has been retained as captain of the national team for 2011. Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal has been named his deputy, and both will face their first major assignment in the new year in the World Cup.
The Bangladesh captaincy has shuffled between Mashrafe Mortaza and Shakib since the tour of West Indies in 2009 but Mortaza's knee injury has affected his prospects for the next year. Tamim, who returned to the line-up after a hand injury in Bangladesh's last ODI series against Zimbabwe, takes over from wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim as vice-captain.

2011 World Cup team for Bangladesh should be like this (in batting order) 1. Tamim 2. Imrul 3. Shahriar/junaed 4. Mushfiq 5. Shakib 6.alok/ashraful 7. mahmudullah 8. Shafiul 9. Rubel 10. Razzak 11. Mashrafee/ s.shuvo/ shahadat. total-15 If mashrafee is fit then he should play and bat at no.8 or whenever requires.. against India 3 pacers may work better. at no.4 Mushfiq can be real handy..he can work the ball here and there....this will be effective to take singles in middle over. alok or ashraful is experienced and can hit big and so one of them should be at no.6. they can bowl as part timer as well. Raqibul can not be a option this time...plz do forget him. it's obvious for world cup to pick the right team.Bengal tigers...
